Objectives Generally, to enable students to write programs in a professional engineering environment, ie to write programs with and for other engineers. Specifically, to be able to design algorithms and data structures in Pascal and Modula-2, and to understand the basis of computer graphics and be able to use standard computer graphics primitives.

Synopsis Review of Pascal and Modula-2 syntax; algorithms and data structures; computer graphics.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 60% · Practical work: 40%
