Objectives The student is expected to gain knowledge of reliability engineering hsitory, importance and role in procurement, design and maintainability. The student is also expected to acquire a basic knowledge of reliability in management and quality control.

Synopsis The subject will provide an introduction to reliability and an understanding of reliability in management and quality control, reliability in design, reliability, maintainability and availability and reliability production and modelling. Other topics include reliability testing and managing and solving reliability problems.

Assessment Examination: 60% · Assignments: 40%
