Objectives To develop an understanding of the role that computers can play in maintenance management. An appreciation of the application of software packages to the various areas of terotechnology. To be able to use various problem oriented software for the solution of real world problems.

Synopsis This subject provides an introduction to computer system hardware. The subject also examines systems analysis in maintenance management, database and spreadsheet applications and provides an overview of maintenance management packages. Other topics studied include: programming and systems analysis, simulation and investigation tools and artificial intelligence techniques.
