Objectives The student is expected to develop an understanding of the principles of common manufacturing processes and an awareness of the importance of quality in manufacturing. The student is also expected to become familiar with the properties and applications of selected materials and the ways that the properties of materials can be modified.
Synopsis Manufacturing properties of materials. Analysis of common manufacturing processes. Quality in manufacturing. Ferrous materials - heat treatment of steel, selection of steels.
Assessment Examinations 80%· Assignment: 20%
