Objectives The student is expected to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the principles of operation, and the technology used in medical laser equipment and in diagnostic medical ultrasound
Synopsis This subject introduces the theory, application and hardware of modern medical laser and diagnostic ultrasound. The subject will include an extensive exposure to a wide range of clinical equipment, dealing with issues such as acquisition, understanding of clinical application, dosage, laser comparisons, imaging techniques and associated signal processing.
