Objectives The student is expected to develop an understanding of the individual's contribution to the professional team, to team dynamics and to self management. The student should acquire introductory knowledge of the concepts behind financial statements and the principles of project evaluation and control.

Synopsis Management of resources. Management of people: individuals, organisations and groups, management philosophy and techniques. Management of finances: company objectives, accounting fundamentals, financial control, project evaluation. Management of projects: the project team, critical path method, law.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 30% · Assignments and presentations: 70%
