Interactive computer graphics

Objectives The student is expected to develop an understanding of the basic components of computer graphics systems and the ability to carry out tasks involving implementation of algorithms or using packages to create graphics and graphic animations.

Synopsis Point and line-based graphics, homogeneous coordinates, 2D and 3D transformations, hidden lines and surface removal, surface shading, solid modelling, animation. Graphics standards and packages, CAD/CAM systems and applications.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 60% · Practical work: 30% · Laboratory work: 10%
