The Centre for Early Childhood Research and Development contributes to the early childhood field through the provision of professional services such as seminars, conferences, consultancies, publications and research expertise. It encourages faculty members to involve themselves in research related to early childhood education and services.
The centre provides support for projects within the faculty; develops proposals for early childhood projects for submission to funding organisations; tenders for research, consultancy and publication projects within the field of early childhood education and care, and other activities as approved by its committee of management. The director is Associate Professor Anne Stonehouse.
