Course structure

The course

This course requires satisfactory completion of studies totalling 96 credit points. This may be achieved through a combination of minor thesis and coursework, or research project and coursework, or by coursework only. Students are encouraged to discuss a range of options which may be undertaken in order to fulfil the requirements for the award with the relevant course coordinator. In addition to those listed, to provide flexibility, students may select from a range of Graduate Diploma programs offered by the School. Students should seek advice when constructing their individual program of study from the relevant course coordinator.

Thesis/Research Project component

Students may undertake a component of their award by research through a minor thesis (to the value of 36 credit points -- approximately 25,000 words) or a project (to the value of 24 credit points -- approximately 15,000 words). Though the requirements for the thesis and project are different, all students will be supervised in their research by a staff member.
