Students must pay an amenities fee upfront to accept their offer. The Federal Government also charges a fee referred to as the Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS) for some courses. Please refer to the 'Fees' section of this book for further details.
Students should allow, on average, $100 per subject for prescribed textbooks. Specific computer software may also be required by the course. Details of these requirements will be contained within the subject material provided either before or close to the start of semester. The Monash campus bookshops stock copies of the textbooks and software prescribed for subjects offered by faculties on their campuses.
Other expenses may include telephone, postage, stationery and travel.
