Psychiatric nursing clinical practicum

Is designed to provide the student with a range of supervised clinical experiences in in-patient and community psychiatric settings. Areas include acute care (in-patient and community), early intervention, crisis intervention, continuing care, psychiatric rehabilitation, specialist areas eg drug and alcohol, psychogeriatrics, and child and adolescent services etc.The subject includes a fieldwork component. Students will be expected to negotiate their own clinical placements (although a list of venues will be available from the subject coordinator).
