Management theory and functions

Students will examine the development of management thought and the contribution of major theorists. The subject then examines the functions and processes of management. As management is studied in general terms, the principles, practices and issues apply to both the public and private sectors. The approach is non-prescriptive as the resolution of management problems is contingent upon the particular circumstances of the internal and external environments.
