Introduction to measurement and evaluation

This subject investigates simple statistical processes applicable to classroom measurement and evaluation; the construction and use of a range of classroom assessment and reporting procedures; the use of published texts; the development and use of attitude scales and the role of educational measurement and evaluation in education. The topics covered meet the needs associated with recent curriculum developments relating to the role of measurement and evaluation in education, the design and evaluation of reporting and testing procedures and the role of teachers in developing their own classroom tests.
