Applications In electronic commerce

Students will apply the basic concepts of electronic commerce, change management and information exchange processes in the context of Australian and international case studies which demonstrate various applications and electronic commerce processes. In module one students will evaluate the effectiveness of electronic purchasing, supply-chain management and customer-supplier relationships and electronic commerce agreements. Module two examines the applications of electronic commerce in the banking industry, specifically money creation, cyber cash and electronic payment systems, smartcards and stored value cards. Module three concentrates on applications of electronic commerce via the Internet and the new business opportunities that creates. In module four students will evaluate a comprehensive electronic commerce implementation in an Australian multinational, BHP.
