Objectives On completion of this subject students will be able to understand organisations as learning systems; describe, analyse and compare various models of organisational learning and leadership and the way learning change and system thinking inter-relate; define and assess an organisation's learning and leadership capabilities and their relationship to organisational strategy; design systems which link culture and knowledge structures to other capabilities and strategic goals, and provide associated programs to develop organisational learning skills including the development of 'learning organisations'.

Synopsis Organisations as open learning systems in turbulent environments; introduction to learning of the individual, group, organisational levels; the concepts of organisational learning and organisational learning theories, models, techniques and practices of the learning organisation; leadership, culture and organisational learning; case studies and action learning.
