Postgraduate programs

The departments of History and Visual Culture and the National Centre for Australian Studies offer vocationally-oriented programs to graduate students and other suitably qualified individuals under the general heading of postgraduate programs in cultural practice. Applicants may choose from three predominantly coursework-based programs. Each comprises specially designed core units and combinations of subjects which draw on the specialist interests and teaching skills of the participating departments. The programs incorporate a range of core, functional and elective subjects, and cross-linkages. The intention is to suit the special and varied needs of students and to maximise interdisciplinary benefits. Each individual course is HECS based. Further details of each may be found elsewhere in this handbook under the appropriate headings.
