Objectives On successful completion of this subject students should be able to express themselves on a variety of topics in both speaking and writing as well as comprehending reading texts. They should have acquired the accent and accuracy of spoken Thai.
Synopsis The speaking component deals with a similar range of topics to beginner's Thai, but students will be able to express themselves more completely and naturally. The reading component expands exceptions and irregularities in reading rules. Reading skills and dictionary skill at this point mean that students will be able to undertake significant self-study. The reading content focuses on Thai life and culture. Students will write compositions on topics introduced in the reading component.
Assessment Examinations (2 hours): 40% - Oral examination: 30% - Classwork, assignments: 30%
