Objectives Students successfully completing this subject should have learned through practice, basic interviewing and casework skills which provide a sufficient foundation upon which to build during the block I placement.

Synopsis The development of self awareness, communication and interviewing skills appropriate to social work practice.

Assessment Role-play assessment: 40% - Participation in class exercises: 40% - Analysis of roleplay: 20%
