Objectives As for SCY2651, with these additional objectives: students taking this subject at third-year level can expect to develop a greater depth of understanding of the relevant literature as well as an enhanced ability to critically appraise the application of psycho-analytic approaches to the study of social life.

Synopsis As for SCY2651.

Assessment One seminar paper and oral presentation (2000 words): 35% - One project (1500 words): 25% - Essay (2500 words): 40% Students taking this subject at a third-year level will write essays from a separate list of essay questions. A greater depth of critical analysis and understanding of theoretical ideas will be expected.
