Objectives On completion of this subject, students should have developed an understanding of the importance of research in the discipline of sociology; gained an appreciation of the details involved in the research process; and demonstrated an understanding of the research process.

Synopsis A student will undertake the research practicum by individually supervised field research culminating in a report; or undertake group research, under supervision, culminating in a report; or undertake individually supervised library research culminating in a dissertation.
