Objectives On completion of this subject students should have an understanding of the issues that need to be addressed in managing community-based HIV programs in developing countries
Synopsis This subject will provide a comprehensive summary of the issues involved in assessing the risk of HIV transmission in a community, and developing and managing a multisectoral response to HIV/AIDS, including prevention of infection and health care needs of persons with AIDS. It will also cover a review of the global HIV/AIDS situation analysis and identify the key components of a community-based HIV/ AIDS prevention and care program.
