Synopsis This subject has been introduced to provide an overview of the major health issues and important public health programs for women and children in developing countries, including reproductive health and gender issues. It will enable students to analyse the key determinants of health in women and children in the context of poor communities; to identify the major factors affecting population trends; and introduce concepts of planning, implementation, and evaluation of effective programs to promote health among women and children

Assessment Written assignment: 50% -2-hour exam: 50%
