Objectives To permit students, under the guidance of a supervisor, to explore at some depth a topic in linguistics of their choosing.

Synopsis The minor thesis resulting from the student's investigation, under the guidance of a supervisor, into an aspect of linguistics must be submitted by the end of October. Prospective honours students are encouraged to contact the honours coordinator during their third year to discuss their intended thesis topic and to be referred to a supervisor.
