Advanced intermediate Korean, part 1

Objectives On successful completion of this subject students should have further developed, based on their first semester work in KOR2310, semi-academic proficiency in that they are able to speak and comprehend Korean with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on social and academic topics of general interest to the students' age group. In listening, they should be able to listen for information from talks, lectures, and TV, or listen for pleasure.

Synopsis The aim of the subject is to extend the language skills to the level of more advanced and competent communication skills in speaking, reading and writing. The subject is designed to develop and consolidate the language skills by placing emphasis on active oral skills in more sophisticated conversation and on comprehension skills in reading diversely selected materials.
