Introductory Hebrew, part A

6 points - 4 hours per week - First semester - Clayton - Prerequisite: A Year 9 standard of Hebrew or its equivalent

Objectives Upon completion of this subject students should have developed basic Hebrew grammatical, syntactic and idiomatic skills both in the written and oral spheres of the subject. This subject should also provide the students with some insight into the Jewish cultural background.

Synopsis This subject provides a guided study of non-literary and some literary texts, audio-visual material and oral and written exercises.

Assessment Written assignments (2500 words): 50% Written examination (2000 words): 50%
