Objectives As for JPS2710 with the additional objective that students should gain experience in generating an original research topic for the essay which demonstrates their awareness of the key issues in the development of Australia-Japan relations.

Synopsis As for JPS2710.

Assessment Written (3500 words): 35% - Examination (1.5 hours): 50% - Tutorial participation (1000 words): 15% - For the essay, third-year students will be expected to generate their own topic and find a substantial body of source material outside the course references.
