Objectives Students should develop an understanding of some of the major theoretical approaches and topics associated with Japanese linguistics.

Synopsis This subject covers a selection of topics from Japanese linguistics, such as phonology, morphology, syntax, lexicon and semantics.

Assessment (8 points) Two essays (2000 words each): 40% each -Test (2 hours): 20%
