Objectives As for HYM4200, with the additional objectives that students should develop a more sophisticated and critical understanding of the links between their own fields of research and other fields of historical scholarship and a more thorough comparative framework in their analysis of specific forms of commemoration and remembering.

Synopsis As for HYM4200. In their written work, students doing the subject at fifth-year level are expected to display greater research independence and awareness of different interpretive methods.
