Objectives As for HYM4110, with the additional objectives that students should develop a more comprehensive understanding of the relationships between history, 'heritage' and identity and of the methodological and epistemological debates concerning the 'uses' of history.
Synopsis As for HYM4110. In their essays, students taking the subject at fifth-year level are expected to use a wider range of sources and to demonstrate a greater awareness of the major debates concerning the nature of 'indigenous histories'.
