Objectives As for HSY2780 with the additional objectives of promoting the critical interpretation of links between national and racial identity in Australia and the political use of literary, visual and polemic representations in different historical contexts.

Synopsis As for HSY2780.

Assessment Tutorial exercises (total 1000 words): 15% - Essay (2000 words): 35% - Research essay (3000 words): 50% - Third-year students will be required to examine issues of historiographical debate in the short essay, and tackle a broader range of primary sources in the research essay.
