Objectives As for HSY2580 with the additional objectives of developing more sophisticated skills in the critical analysis of various forms of literary and cinematic representation and awareness of the conceptual issues involved in the use of memory and oral history.

Synopsis As for HSY2580.

Assessment Tutorial participation: 5% - Tutorial paper (1000 words): 15% - Long essay (2500 words): 40% - Exam in class (1000 words): 15% - Take-home examination (1500 words): 25% - Third-year students will be expected to undertake substantial primary research in their long essay.
