Objectives As for HSY2450, with the additional objectives that students should acquire a deeper understanding of the historical nature and significance of postwar German nationalism, and will be expected to develop a historical topic of their own to research and write.

Synopsis As for HSY2450.

Assessment Historiographical essay (1500 words): 20% - Research essay (2500 words): 30% - Examination (2 hours): 40% - Tutorial participation: 10% - Third-year students will be expected to demonstrate more sophisticated analytical skills and submit work incorporating a higher level of competence in independent reading and research.
