Objectives As for HSY2300 with the additional objectives that students should show a more developed critical understanding of the key organising concepts employed by historians of twentieth century Australia and display greater independence in the forming and completion of a research project.

Assessment Document exercise (1500 words): 25% - Research essay and synopsis (3000 words): 40% - Examination (1-1.5 hours): 25% - Tutorial participation: 10%
