Objectives On succesful completion of this subject students should have improved their language skills by further study, written and oral discussion of Cambodian literature, newspapers and contemporary issues, with particular emphasis on contrasts between traditional and modern Cambodia.

Synopsis Further study of literature, newspapers and contemporary issues in Cambodia, bringing out contrasts between traditional Cambodia and Western-influenced Cambodia.

Assessment Examinations (3 hours): 60% - Written (1500 words): 20% - Class participation and presentations: 20%
