Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should possess the high level of technical competence that enables them to work independently in the ceramic forming processes of their choice; have designed and developed an individually approved study program from which a professional folio emerges; have researched and developed the technology for a specific area of ceramic media; have the ability to critically evaluate their own work and that of others within a historical and contemporary context; understand the strategies for folio presentation and communication of ideas to prospective clients.
Synopsis Students design their own approved program of study. This takes the form of a written document which represents the basis of a work contract between students and the lecturer(s). At this stage of the course, students should have a high level of technical competence facilitating work in their chosen field.
Assessment Folio: 80% - Assigned projects: 20%
