This handbook is divided into sections.
The `Faculty information' section at the start of the handbook contains important information about the stucture and organisation of the faculty, details of all undergraduate degrees offered by the faculty, general advice to students and information about the various student services available within the Arts faculty, and within the university.
Each department or centre offering subjects within the Faculty of Arts has an entry which provides details about the department or centre, its general teaching objectives, its majors and minors and its honours program. You must consult the departmental entry for information regarding majors and minors for any discipline in which you are planning to study.
Following the department or centre section is a full listing of all subjects offered by departments or centres, including details of where and when the subject is offered, the subject's learning objectives, a general synopsis, assessment details, and any prescribed or recommended reading. This is in alpha numeric order.
There is a separate section for offerings at the Berwick campus. A description of each major and minor is provided and the subject descriptions follow in alpha numeric order.
Offerings at the Gippsland campus is through the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. A description of each course and a full listing of all subjects offered is included in a separate section.
