In the last three years the faculty has held an induction program in April designed largely for new graduate research students. Topics covered have included human ethics and research, postgraduate supervision - where both the responsibilities of the supervisor and those of the student were discussed - thesis and research paper writing and the services offered by the Monash Postgraduate Association. A `Research induction handbook', which is available from the graduate studies office, has been handed out to all new research students via their department or centre.
