The university has established an environmental policy, and aims to be a leader in promoting awareness of and accountability in environmental issues. To this end the university has taken a leading role in the responsible management of hazardous and trade wastes, as well as in striving to minimise the impact of university operations on the environment.
The environmental adviser, Ms Michelle Giovas, works with the whole university community to initiate and develop environmentally sound work practices.
