Clayton * Prerequisites: Good performance in PHA3011 and PHA3022
Objectives On the completion of this subject students should have developed critical attitudes to the study of the effects of drugs on living organisms; become familiar with the range of modern techniques useful in pharmaceutical research, reinforced and extended prior understanding of the major areas of the discipline of pharmacology; acquired skills in selected experimental techniques and in computer-based acquisition, analysis and presentation of data; developed skills to communicate with peers verbally and by means of the written word.
Synopsis The subject will consist of formal laboratory work, plus lectures and service programs, together with a research project to be completed in close collaboration with a supervisor.
