Nonparametric statistics
4 points * Second semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: MAT2020, MAS2011, MAS2032
Objectives On the completion of this subject students will be able to test nonparametric statistical hypotheses; evaluate significance probabilities; calculate power functions; deal with multiple treatments and blocks of data involving tied responses.
Synopsis The randomisation model. The comparison of treatments using rank tests. Power and asymptotic power. Randomized complete blocks.
Assessment Examinations (1.5 hours): 90% * Assignments: 10%
