Synopsis A student taking this subject must complete a project and units chosen from the fourth-year offering of the department, and other relevant units as approved by the coordinator. Fourth-year applied mathematics units offered may include: A4020 (Geometrical methods of mathematical physics), A4030 (Advanced numerical solution of partial differential equations), A4050 (Advanced dynamical meteorology), A4060 (General relativity), A4100 (Time series), A4150 (Waves in fluids), A4160 (Stellar structure and evolution), A4170 (Biomathematics).
Assessment Seminar participation, project, examinations, tests and assignments.
