Clinical studies in palliative care

6 credit points * 3 hours per week or as negotiated with the subject leader * First or second semester * Peninsula

Objectives On completion of this subject students are expected to critically analyse an area of practice in palliative care; conceptualise patterns of nursing practice within an area of palliative care practice; investigate an identified need in the practice area; construct a project proposal for the development of nursing practice in palliative care.

Synopsis This subject enables students to investigate an area of clinical palliative care practice and develop a project related to that area.

Assessment Oral presentation: 25% * Project proposal: 75%
