Advanced toxicology

Synopsis The aim is to outline current issues in toxicology particularly in regard to substance groups. At the end of this subject, students will know which groups of substances are likely to be encountered in workplaces and the important hazards of pesticides, dioxins, mineral and timber dusts, food additives, solvents, metals and pollutants of water, soil and air. In addition, students will be broadly familiar with environmental illness, biological monitoring and health surveillance.
