Civil engineering practice 3

4 points * 26 lecture hours, 13 tutorial hours, 10 hours laboratory classes * Second semester * Clayton * Students must have completed 94 credit points before enrolling * Prerequisite CIV2201

Objectives The student is expected to develop an appreciation of how engineers approach new problems, an understanding of the systems analysis and model development process, knowledge of an array of modelling procedures, and a feeling for the temporal and spatial dimensions of engineering analysis.

Synopsis The model development process, systems analysis, system synthesis, model development, verification, validation and application. Linear programming, dynamic programming, decision analysis, equilibrium modelling and time series analysis.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 50% * Project: 50%
