Objectives The student is expected to acquire a basic knowledge and understanding of energy systems and their management to reduce energy consumption and shape load demand.

Synopsis Energy consumption and economy. Energy demand in industry, commercial and residential sectors. Energy saving technologies. Demand side management. Energy saving appliances. Labelling systems. Incentives for energy conservation.

Assessment Examinations (2 hours): 70% * Assignments: 30%
