Concrete structural analysis
J G Sanjayan
6 points * 3 hours per week * First semester * Clayton
Objectives The student is expected to develop advanced knowledge and understanding of (a) the influence of volumetric changes in concrete due to shrinkage, creep and temperature and (b) strength and the role of ductility and softening on structural behaviour.
Synopsis Shrinkage, creep and thermal effects on concrete structures. Deformation, strength and ductility of flexural structures. Plasticity and softening. Other selected advanced topics.
Assessment Examinations (3 hours): 60% * Practical work/Seminar participation: 40%
