Objectives To cover the process engineering aspects in the production of pulp for the manufacture of paper.
Synopsis Wood debarking, screening and chipping. Chemical, semi-chemical and mechanical pulping; recycling and deinking. Reaction engineering, equipment, control and modelling. Pulp washing, screening, chemical recovery and chemicals production. Pulp bleaching processes.
