Reading subjects in education

12 points
* 3 hours per week
* First semester or second semester
* Clayton

Synopsis Students may only take one or, in special circumstances, two reading subjects when their particular interests cannot be met by any of the regular offerings. The prior permission of the Postgraduate Coursework Committee must be obtained on the appropriate form which is available from the inquiry office in the School of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Education, Clayton campus. This permission should be obtained before the semester commences. For part-time students permission will not be granted before the completion of two subjects. According to the topic taken and the weight of the work involved reading subjects may be taken either as one subject studied in either the first half-year or in the second half-year, or as two subjects taken throughout the year. The subjects will take the form of individual reading subjects leading to a written report on a problem in education. Students interested in undertaking a reading subject must consult the relevant group adviser.
