Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should have an understanding of the extra-classroom school music program; be able to develop an instrumental teaching program; be able to contribute to performing ensembles and music theatre productions.
Synopsis This subject extends and develops the studies undertaken in GED0529. Particular attention is given to the development of school instrumental teaching (its practices and organisation), school performance ensembles (bands, choirs, orchestras), musical theatre productions, conducting and music technology.
Assessment A precondition for a pass in this method is a pass in
practice teaching and 80% attendance at timetabled classes. A satisfactory
level of achievement is also required for each of the following tasks

Participation in music theatre production
* Production report (2000 words
plus musical material): 100%
