Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should have developed an understanding of current curriculum issues with special emphasis on an examination of recent models of curriculum development in an Australian context; be able to discuss curriculum issues in a critical and analytical fashion; have developed a range of professional techniques associated with the teaching of students' second method; have developed competent and professional teaching abilities.
Synopsis This subject is the second teaching and curriculum studies subject of the course. In part-time distance education mode this subject will normally be taken in the second year of study. Students will need to choose to take a `second method' (either following on from their first method choice, ie double-method or a second area of teaching altogether).
Assessment These relate to the objectives of each method.
